Presentation Guidelines

Oral presentations

The conference program includes 11 sessions comprising invited talks and selected talks.

Duration of talks

Invited talks are scheduled for a total of 30 minutes – 23 minutes presentation and 7 minutes discussion.

Selected talks are scheduled for a total of 20 minutes – 15 minutes presentation and 5 minutes discussion.

Speakers will be notified two minutes before the end of the presentation time. If the time limits are not respected, the time for discussion will be shortened or even cancelled if required. Chairs have been advised to strictly enforce the time constraints.

Technical support/requirements

There is no speakers’ preview room, and presentations will not be delivered to the lecture hall. Please bring your presentation and load it on the computer of the lecture hall well before your session starts. We recommend loading your presentation the day before or at the latest in the morning of the day of your presentation, before the sessions start.

All presentations shall be based on PowerPoint 2016. Adobe Reader, and VLC Media Player are available as well. The projectors project in 4:3 format.

Please bring your presentation in the adequate version on a flash drive (USB drive). Please note that you will not be able to use your own laptop computer.

Abstract book

All abstracts are included in the abstract book in chronological order of the scientific program.

Poster presentations

The poster exhibition is located in the foyers of the Audimax building, the conference venue, and will be opened all-day on the conference days.

Poster sessions

The poster sessions, at which each presenter must be available for discussion, will take place on Tuesday, 27 August 2019 at 4:20 pm, and on Wednesday, 28 August 2019 at 4:00 pm.

Posters of the session S-I to S-VI will be presented in poster session I on Tuesday, 27 August 2019, and posters of the sessions S-VII to S-XI will be presented in poster session II on Wednesday, 28 August 2019.

Poster size

The maximum poster size shall be DIN A0 which is 118.9 cm high and 84.1 cm wide. It is thus requested that posters be prepared in portrait format. Contents should be easily read at a distance of 150 cm. A poster printed out on a large paper sheet is encouraged.

Permanent ID

A permanent ID was assigned to all posters. This number is essential for the location of your poster, as the poster walls/boards will show the permanent ID. Please look for your ID to put up your poster.

Materials for putting up the posters will be provided.

Dismounting of Posters

Please make sure to remove all poster materials from the board by the end of the conference.

The meeting staff will remove posters not taken down by Friday, 30 August 2019 at 4:00 pm, and the meeting organizers cannot take any further responsibility for the material.
